Dedham Pop Warner Cheerleading Rules

 

 

  • No child, regardless of age, may be dropped off at a practice until the parent verifies that their child's Head Coach is present. 

  • No jewelry to be worn at practice or games with the exception of medical alert bracelets which must be taped down.  Coaches will not be responsible for any jewelry taken off at practice and lost.    

  • Hair that touches the shoulders must be pulled up. 

  • No food or snacks during practices or games.  Water is recommended.

  • No stunting without a coach present

  • No stunting in the rain.

  • No horsing around when stunting.

  •             Come to practice wearing sneakers, shorts, a t-shirt and hair up.  No slippery or jean shorts, gym or spandex shorts are recommended.

  •             Girls must be at field, whether home or away, 1 hour before game time.  If you are more than 10 minutes late you will not be allowed to participate in half-time

  • Improper language (shut up, etc.) will not be tolerated.

  • Respect your coaches, teammates, parents and all members of  Dedham Pop Warner.

  •             If you have a problem with a teammate, speak to your coach.   DO NOT talk about that person behind their back.  Come to practice and games with a positive attitude.

  • No gum chewing, nail polish, make-up, glitter or temporary tattoos.

  • Practice and game attendance is expected.  If you can not make a practice or a game you must notify your head coach prior to that game or practice.

  •             No leaving practices or games without a coaches’ permission.  This includes going to the bathroom.   Girls will not be dismissed from practice unless a parent or other adult responsible for their transportation is there.  Coaches must be notified if someone other than the parent is picking up a child.

  • Good sportsmanship and good manners are expected at all times.

  • When on the sideline, stay in formation.  Keep talking to a minimum.

  • Pay attention and be aware of what is going on with the game and with your squad.  

  • Participation in D.P.W. fundraising activities is expected.

  • Players must be at field, whether home or away, 1 hour before game time.  Unless told differently by your Coach.
